Public Safety

• Donald supported pay raises for our police and firefighters during COVID.

• He has supported every request over the past 10 years for body cameras, bulletproof vests, advanced training and any initiative that helps protect our first responders.

• Donald has recognized through action - not just words - that public safety is job number one for local elected officials.

Tax Savings'

• Donald has voted to increase the homestead exemption on three separate occasions; saving homeowners millions.

• He supports maintaining Alpharetta's 60% corporate / 40% residential tax ration because he knows this keeps taxes low for individuals and leads to success for our community.

Quality of Life

• Donald has supported numerous efforts to expand our parks and trail ways including the Windward Northern Arc and Tunnel. 

• He has championed the Alpha Loop from its inception to its current, award-winning status.

• Donald voted to support eight neighborhood parks that will allow for 70% of Alpharetta residents to be within a 10 minute walk of a city park.

Arts

• Donald was one of the first and most vocal supporters of the Alpharetta Arts Center at the Corner of Mayfield Rd and Canton St.

• While others were suggesting that the old Fulton County Library be razed, Donald was calling for the building to be turned into a state-of-the-art, interactive museum and community center where our children can foster their artistic talent and learn to appreciate art in multiple mediums.
